  • PAC meeting

  • Annual Family Pancake Breakfast

    Please join us in the gym for the Annual Family Breakfast! Bring your own plate, cutlery and cup (for hot chocolate or coffee). This event is by donation (suggest $3 per person or $5 a family). Cooking will be done by family volunteers and Torquay staff will serve.

    Student's are welcome to apply to transfer to another Greater Victoria School during this time. Please see the school office for information or go to www.sd61.bc.ca. During this time new registrations for Grade 1-12 for Greater Victoria School can be submitted to the school office.

    Students are to make their way to and from the course. Race packages will be picked up and dispersed prior to Friday April 26th dismissal for those pre-registered with the school 8:00 am start for 10 km 11:00 start for the kids run

    Throughout the week we will have guest readers and special events happening which focus on Literacy.

    Two Divisions Host a Speical Treat Day. This happens 7 times throughout the school year.  Treats sell for $1.00 each. The host Divisions this month are Ms. Plint and Ms. Trenchard.

  • Recognition Assembly

    Teachers will recognize students from their classes. Our Ms. Grant'sand Ms. Leon's classes will perform.

  • PJ Read-in Day

    Each classroom will take-part in Read-in Day in their own way. Teachers will let students and parents know what to expect. But EVERYONE is welcome to wear their PJ's

  • TC10K

    Students are to make their way to and from the course. 10K starts at 8:00 and the Kids Fun Run starts at 11:00. Students who have pre-registered for our school team will get their race packages before dismissal on Friday 26.

  • Music Monday

    Schools across Canada will all sing “Hymn To Freedom” with music by Oscar Peterson and lyrics by Harriette Hamilton. Ms. Grant's class and Ms. Leno's classes have been invited to perform at the Legislature Building on this day too for Music Monday.

  • AGM PAC Meeting

  • Kindergarten Meetings

    Our next year's  Kindergarten students and their parents will attend a session to learn about Torquay and have questions answered.

  • Student Transition Day

    This will include our Grade 5 student's visiting Gordon Head Middle school. If you student is not attending GHMS your encourage to facilitate them making the orientation at their respective middle school.

  • Gr. 5’s at Middle School for afternoon

    This is a District Transition Day. Our Gr. 5's will spend time at their next year's Middle School. Teachers will walk the 5's over to GHMS. Students attending Middle Schools other than GHMS will need to make arrangements with parents for transportation to their middle school event.

  • Victoria Ballet Performs

    This is a PAC sponsored performance. All families are welcome to attend.

  • Parent and Volunteer Appreciation Tea

    Tea, Coffee and Treats will be ready to go to parents and our volunteers. It is small way for us to show our appreciation to all you do to make Torquay a wonderful school.

    University of Victoria

    Runners who placed 1st or 2nd in their heat will be invited to take part in the City Track Meet. Coaches will inform runners and parents if the runners have qualified.

  • Freezie Friday

    Freezies will be sold after school for $1.00 by grade 5 students as fund raiser

  • Yo Yo Presentation

    Students will be invited to enjoy a  School is Cool presentation in the gym with Yo Yo master. Yo Yos will be on sale after the presentation and for the remaining days of the week. Yo Yo's range from $10.00 to $20.00
