Recognition Assembly

Students from each division will be recognized for practicing our school monthly belief. Parents of students being recognized will be notified by a notice sent home by classroom teacher.

Cupcake/Cookie Day

Division's 2 and 9 provide cupcakes to be sold in the gym after school.

Spirit Day – Read-In and pajama’s!

Students bring their favourite book, a blanket, pillow and even a stuff animal and set up in their classrooms to read for the day.

K – 12 Transfer begins

Bike Road-eo

All students are invited to bring their wheeled transportation (bikes, scooters or roller blades) to school on Wednesday, May 20th to show off their road safety skills to the Saanich Police. Zone Track Meet – UVic Stadium

Grade 3 to 5 students that have qualified will participate in the Zone Track Meet against other schools. Parents are welcome to come and participate as spectators and help cheer Torquay on. This is a full day event.

New Kindergarten students and their families come in small groups to meet some of our staff and get familiar with Torquay and it's routines.

City Finals for Track

All finalist from the Zone meets will meet at UVic in the evening. Parents are responsible for taking their child/ren to and from UVic Stadium.

Tea and Talent

Just like last year, Torquay Staff will be showing our appreciation to our parents for all that they do each and every day by offering an array of yummy goodies in the gymnasium while a few of our very talented students entertain us with various performances.

Beach Day – Mt. Douglas Beach

All Torquay students will walk down for a few hours of fun in the sun (fingers crossed) and playing in the sand. Look for a permission notice come home soon.
