Torquay Elementary is a member of The Lambrick Family of Schools. All schools throughout the district are arranged into families with the Secondary school being the anchor school. This arrangement was created as part of the Greater Victoria School District’s new grade configuration which started in 2002.

Prior to 2002 students in the district attended their elementary school for Grades Kindergarten to Grade 7 and then went on to their High school for Grades 8 through 12. With the new configuration, The Lambrick Family made the transition in 2006 and now consists of Hillcrest Elementary and Torquay Elementary with Kindergarten to Grade 5 students, Gordon Head Middle with students in Grade 6 through 8 and Lambrick Park Secondary School with students in Grades 9 through 12.

The Family of School arrangement provides an opportunity for greater contact and communication between the four schools for students, parents, and staff in our family. This page offers links to each of our family’s schools’ website so that you can keep up to date with our entire family!
